That's what I order anytime I go to Wendy's.
Now they have the $5 Biggie Bag, so now I'm able to get fries and a Coke with my double stack if I want.
It's interesting how these fast food restaurants create all these elaborate concoctions with their burgers, salads and what not.
But what people really want is the basics.
You decide to give
the fancy BBQ this, onionwood-smoked bacon that burger with extra sourdough pretzel bun a try - and it's no better than the basic double stack.
It's actually worse. Because you like the simplicity of the double stack.
All this new stuff? Marketing created it in hopes of triggering some quick sales. Maybe get people to try something different. Give them a reason to keep coming back.
The employees can't stand those weird
creations. Now they have to memorize a whole bunch of ingredient combos, when they'd be much more efficient and happier just making the basic burgers that it turns out everyone wants anyway.
You go to the fancy restaurants to get something fancy.
Wendy's should just stick with what they're good at and call it a day.
BTW, I've compiled those emails I sent on Ikigai the last couple of weeks into a small ebook. It turned out pretty
well. If you want to give it a read to get caught up on the series, here's a link to access and download.
