How did you hear of me?

Chalk this up to the ever-growing list of reasons to have a podcast if you’re any type of personal branded business, or if your business relies on healthy human interaction for its success. In other words, pretty much every business currently in existence.
I came across a post on social media recently where a successful life coach was sharing her procedure for on boarding a new client.
She starts the conversation by asking, “how did you hear of me?” This person has a podcast and has done well with it. Often times people that reach out to her answer that question by saying they heard of her through her podcast.
Go figure. A person regularly publishes things that are of importance to them for whosoever will to listen. Then the people that do listen get to know this person to the point that they feel comfortable reaching out to schedule an exploratory call to see if they want to hire her as a coach.
No mention of breaking any download records. Just sharing things in an authentic way, and building rapport with prospective clients, and eventually friends in many cases.
It almost seems too easy. But then again, operating a podcast on a regular basis is anything but easy. You’ve got to worry about editing, adding the opening music, closing music, call to action, and then there’s the show notes.
Everything together, and it seems to be overwhelming. Especially when you have a busy schedule, professional and personal obligations.
If only there was someone who does this all the time, and can develop a system for doing multiple podcasts per day for his clients.
If only such a person also happened to be a very friendly person, and has developed a rapport and a friendship with the clients that he has, some of whom have been with him for close to three years.
If you want people to get to know, you fight, where they feel comfortable, need to hire you, a podcast is a great way to do it. And it’s all that I do, so I’m not interrupting my workflow to get it done. That is my workflow.
If you want to book, exploratory, call to see if it might work for you, just reply to this email, and we’ll make it happen!
